There is a nod to Leonardo in the backgound landscape, although my friend Jessica looks more like what I imagine to be a Celtic queen, or 'La Gioconda Irlandese'. I liked the way she was squinting slightly in the direct sunlight and warm breeze. This drawing is approximately life-size. It is basically charcoal with the introduction of some pastels.
