Visible across the estuary beside my studio there is a line of beautiful Monterey pines. This is not an exact rendering of the scene but a dream-like wandering in the mist of a calm day. The light fog along the estuary reminded me of a scene from a 1960s Michelangelo Antonioni film, Il Deserto Rosso, to which this bore a remarkable resemblance. I have merged elements of the two locations.
