Old Carboniferous
A walk on fossil rocks on a clear winter afternoon. The coastal rocks between the north County Dublin towns of Portmarnock and Malahide bear striking fossils visible on the surface, including crinoids, corals and brachiopods. The nearby beach was the departure point for early pioneering westbound transatlantic flights.
