Howth Dublin Baily lighthouse seascape

Doldrum Bay

A golden evening overlooking Doldrum Bay and the Baily Lighthouse at Howth, Co. Dublin. Howth stone is a characteristic red ochre colour and is used in building walls on this beautiful peninsula which forms the northern end of Dublin Bay. The cliffs are home to thousands of kittiwakes, and offshore gannets wheel for fish. On the distant horizon sails catch the vespertine light.
